After shooting a bull elk on a Sunday evening recently, a Coeur d'Alene man left it in the woods without even looking for the animal. The shooter, however, did stop by the regional Fish and Game office around noon the next day to ask if anyone had reported him for shooting from the road. -

Commission Elects Officers
Fred Wood was elected chairman of the Idaho Fish and Game Commission for the next year when commissioners met in Orofino December 6-8. Wood was appointed from the Magic Valley Region by former Governor Phil Batt and reappointed by Governor Dirk Kempthorne. He has previously served as chairman. -
