Salmon and Steelhead Days comes to MK Nature Center on Sept. 4-6
The event celebrates Idaho’s anadromous fish by involving fifth grade students in hands-on learning about salmon and steelhead.
Over the course of the three-day educational event, nearly 2,300 students from southwest Idaho will participate in a day of hands-on learning. This year’s event will host 80 classes from 34 schools.

F&G expands Chinook fishing in the Clearwater River system
On Friday, Aug. 30, the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) approved the Idaho Department of Fish and Game’s fall Chinook fishery permit, and anglers should be aware of some changes to the structure of the season in the Clearwater River, as well as modifications to the daily and possession limits in all of the state’s fall Chinook fisheries.

September trout stocking schedule for the Southeast Region

Project WILD workshop for teachers coming to Pocatello in September
How would you like to be a “WILD teacher”? A “WILD teacher” is one who has participated in a Project WILD workshop presented by the Idaho Department of Fish and Game. Participants learn about wildlife and discover fun and exciting ways to teach wildlife conservation and ecological concepts in the classroom. Plus, it is a great way to earn a credit through an Idaho university. The next Project WILD workshop-- WILD About Early Learners-- is coming to Pocatello in September!

Prescribed burn in unit 66 may continue into the first week of September
