Winter Recreationists - Use Caution on Craig Mountain

The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is conducting a fire-related salvage logging operation on the Craig Mountain Wildlife Management beginning Monday, February 19, and is urging winter recreationists to use caution when traveling on area roads. The following roads within the Deer Creek drainage will be plowed to access area and transport logs: the Ridge Road starting at the top of Eagle Creek, the Hush Puppy Road between Eagle Creek and Deer Creek, and the Cut-Over road to Deer Creek Falls. Snowmobile recreationists are allowed in this area, but are likely to meet logging traffic on the plowed roads. Other unauthorized motorized vehicles are not permitted and are subject to a misdemeanor citation including fines up to $1000 and / or jail up to six months.
