Vandals destroy Sportsmen's property

JEROME - The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is interested in finding the people responsible for destroying property at two access sites and one winter feed storage facility. The first incident occurred at the Cedar Draw Access site about two weeks ago where vandals burned down a new restroom facility. "It's pretty frustrating," said David Parrish, Magic Valley Regional Supervisor. "Crews put a lot of time and money into the area to provide a nice access point to the Snake River for area sportsmen. The first weekend after completion it was destroyed." Northwest of Buhl at the Blue Gulch wildlife tract, vandals tore out five signs placed to help sportsmen find access points to the public properties for hunting access which is intertwined with private land in the area. A week later the signs were replace and were once again removed. West of Ketchum on Warm Springs Road, vandals rammed their vehicle into the side of the Bullwacker winter feed storage facility and tore one of the doors off. The storage building protects feed used to keep elk from migrating into residential areas, causing property damage and traffic hazards. Anyone with information is asked to call, 324-4359.
