Unfilled Controlled Hunt Permits On Sale July 15

Leftover tags for deer, elk, and turkey that did not fill during the regular controlled hunt permit drawing in June will be sold over the counter at the Magic Valley Region Fish and Game Office and regional vendor outlets on Saturday, July 15. All leftover tags are sold on a "first come, first served" basis. For our region of the state, there are 342 antlerless deer permits available in unit 43-1 (hunt number 1056) and 205 youth antlerless deer permits in unit 44-2 (hunt number 1083). For antlerless elk, 135 permits are available in unit 43 (hunt number 2090), 21 in unit 48-2 (hunt number 2095) and 45 still remaining in unit 48-3 (hunt number 2096). A complete listing of all unfilled controlled hunt permits is available on the Fish and Game website at http://www2.state.id.us/fishgame/unfilled.htm. Doors at the Magic Valley Regional Office, 868 E. Main, Jerome, will open at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 15 for people to fill out applications. The applications however, will not be entered into the computer system until 10 a.m. Mountain Time.
