Angler effort also increased as more anglers decided to get out and take advantage of the warm weather. Most of the additional angler effort was located downstream of North Fork in location codes 14 and 15. Effort upstream of the Lemhi River in location code 17 remained low.

River conditions were good throughout the weekend. The river had clear visibility in all areas, and water temperatures were in the upper 30s. Currently, the Salmon River is flowing at 1,250 cfs through the town of Salmon, which is 94 percent of average for today’s date. Additionally, the weather forecast for the upcoming week continues to look great for this time of year. Daily highs are predicted to be in the 40s to low 50s with lows in the 20s. This should continue to provide excellent weather for late fall steelhead fishing.
