Leftover Permits on Sale July 15

Permits which did not sell in the recent controlled hunt drawings will go on sale at Fish and Game license vendors July 15. Sales will begin at 10 a.m. Mountain Time and 9 a.m. Pacific Time. A total of 2,220 permits are available for deer hunts, mostly in hunts for antlerless deer or in youth hunts. The youth hunts offer a real opportunity to teach a child about hunting, because most of them have a general season simultaneous with at least part of the youth hunt. There are 1,082 elk permits available, all for antlerless elk, and 312 wild turkey permits. No antelope permits were left over this year. For more information on these hunts check the big game rules.
