Governor Kempthorne Welcomes Salmon Back

Governor Dirk Kempthorne will try his hand at catching one of Idaho's big chinook salmon this Friday on the Clearwater River near Orofino. Joining the Governor will be Idaho Fish and Game Director Rod Sando and Idaho State Department of Commerce Director Gary Mahn. The media is invited to attend and join in the fishing at 3:30 PM on Friday May 4. All anglers must have a valid fishing license and salmon tag. The boats will launch from the Pink House Campground near Orofino.
