Major items on agenda include big game, spring Chinook season setting

The Idaho Fish and Game Commission will meet in Boise on March 12-13, with the public hearing starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 12 in the Main Auditorium of the Washington Group Building at 720 E. Park Blvd in Boise. Members of the public can address the commission on any matters related to Fish and Game at that time.

The meeting will continue at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13, at the Idaho Fish and Game Headquarters at 600 S. Walnut St. in Boise. Public comments will not be taken during this portion of the meeting.

Commissioners are scheduled to set upcoming seasons for big game and spring Chinook salmon, receive an update on and potentially consider modifications to the 2019 spring steelhead season, and consider adopting management plans for mountain goat and upland game. Routine agenda topics include legislative updates, a briefing on migratory game birds, an update on the draft mule deer and white-tailed deer management plan, briefings about rule proposals, and more.
