Thursday, March 10, 2022 - 2:50 PM MSTIdaho Governor Brad Little submitted a petition to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to remove grizzly bears in the “Lower 48” United States from the Endangered Species Act and recognize states’ successful efforts to recover and manage grizzly populations.

F&G Commission approves agreement with Wyoming and Montana to manage grizzly bears
Saturday, December 18, 2021 - 9:25 AM MSTIdaho Fish and Game Commission on Dec. 16 approved an updated “Memorandum of Agreement” between Idaho, Wyoming and Montana regarding state grizzly bear management commitments in support of delisting the bears in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.

Monday, May 24, 2021 - 4:08 PM MDTFish and Game verified that the video contained footage of a sub-adult male grizzly bear and confirmed its location. Sub-adult males are known to roam great distances, and it is very unlikely the bear is still present in the area.

Bear attacks hunters in Upper Pack River area north of Sandpoint
Wednesday, September 9, 2020 - 4:04 PM MDTTwo archery hunters were attacked after what they described as a surprise encounter with a sow grizzly bear with cubs in the Apache Ridge area of the Upper Pack River drainage. One of the men was injured and has been released from the hospital with stitches.
