About the position
The Southeast Region is seeking 1 Fisheries Biological Aide (3.0 months) to assist with the regional fisheries management program in Pocatello, Idaho and the surrounding area. This unique area offers diverse recreational opportunities including hunting, fishing, biking, and hiking.
Incumbents must be able to lift/carry up to 60 lbs. with occasional lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs. for short distances and work long, strenuous hours in extreme weather conditions with or without reasonable accommodations.
During the trapping time frame (May-June), the fisheries biological aide will also spend time hazing American White Pelicans off of Blackfoot River and Reservoir. These activities require the successful applicant to have passed a hunter safety class and to be very familiar with the operation of a shotgun.
The Fisheries Biological Aide will also be required to participate in other fishery management activities.
