About the position
The Department is seeking a Fisheries Technician to serve as crew leader for the sportfish management program in IDFG’s Salmon Region. The objective of this program is to provide high quality recreational fishing opportunity in the region. This position will involve assessing angler effort and catch (creel surveys), conducting fish population surveys, studying fish movement, and assisting with fish stocking in regional waters. The Salmon Region offers a vast array of recreational opportunities including hunting, fishing, biking, hiking, and whitewater rafting.
Positions Available/Dates Needed:
- One 8 month benefited technician (annual hours not to exceed 1385)– Approximately April 2019 through November 2019 (dates somewhat flexible)
Applicant must be willing to accommodate a flexible schedule. Work periods may be up to 10 consecutive days. Housing is not provided, but accommodations are available while in the field.
