About the position

Grace Fish Hatchery is a license funded trout rearing facility, raising multiple species of trout for recreational fisheries in Idaho. This facility also has a conservation and recovery program focused on restoring Bonneville Cutthroat Trout to their native range in Idaho. If selected, the candidate will perform routine fish culture duties at the Grace Fish Hatchery.

General Information: 
Position will require working in inclement weather for extended periods (typically eight hours per shift); lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
Perform routine fish culture duties at a trout production hatchery. Responsibilities include weighing fish feed and feeding fish, cleaning and caring for several different species of trout, maintaining grounds and equipment, assisting with fish stocking and other routine duties. Weekend work rotation will be required.
Applicant must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and posses a valid driver’s license. Must possess the ability to handle responsibility and work independently. College coursework in Natural Resources or a Biological Science related field beneficial, but not required. Previous hatchery experience also beneficial but not required. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
