About the position

Employee will perform routine fish rearing duties at a resident trout production facility, Hagerman State Fish Hatchery.  Dormitory style housing available.  

General Information: 
This is a 40-hr per week job, with Tuesday and Wednesday off. This individual will have to work weekends by themselves, often in adverse conditions outside. Housing is provided.
Responsibilities: 
Responsibilities include: feeding fish, weighing fish food, lifting 50-pound feed sacks, sweeping fish rearing containers and removing mortality, moving fish, assisting in stocking fish, recording data, some maintenance and grounds work.
Qualifications: 
Individuals with education in biological sciences and/or fish hatchery experience is preferred, but not required. The individual will need to lift 50-pound feed sacks and enjoy working outside, often independently. Must have valid driver's license.
