The Sawtooth Fish Hatchery in Stanley is seeking three (3) non-benefited Fisheries Biological Aide.

General Information: 
This position, with or without reasonable accommodations, require standing and working in cold water and for up to five hours per shift; lifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 60 pounds; and working in extreme weather conditions. Occasional field travel may be necessary and weekend work rotation will be required. Possibility of dormitory style housing provided on site.
All positions will assist in the trapping, spawning and rearing of Chinook salmon at the Sawtooth Fish Hatchery in Stanley (Idaho) and perform routine fish culture duties such as feeding fish, cleaning and caring for fish rearing vessels, maintaining grounds and equipment, cleaning hatchery facilities and offices, and other duties as assigned. An additional responsibility will be to assist with hatchery tours and interacting with hatchery visitors.

One position will focus on stocking rainbow trout in waters throughout the Stanley Basin. Operate a four-wheel drive 3/4-ton pickup truck with bed mounted 300-gallon fish tank. Provide daily care of fish to be stocked. Maintain stocking records, perform fish sample count, determine fish loading rates, and assist with report writing.
Demonstrated ability to handle responsibilities and work independently. College coursework in a Natural Resource/Biological Science or related field is strongly preferred, but not mandatory. Previous fish hatchery experience is beneficial but not required. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to read, write, and compute simple math. Must have a valid driver's license.
