About the position

The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is seeking a year around, benefited Office Specialist 2 for the Fisheries Bureau at the Headquarters building in Boise. 

General Information: 
This position will work 30+ hours per week.
Responsibilities: 
Provide office support for the Fisheries Bureau, provide external and internal customer support, answer questions regarding code and regulations, invoice and fleet vehicle data entry, technical report formatting and distribution; Some knowledge of IDFG rules and regulations would be preferred, but not necessary. The right candidate will have good written and oral communication skills as well as the ability to multitask.

Qualifications: 
Good knowledge of rules of effective business English usage, spelling, punctuation, and grammar (This is typically obtained by completing a high school or college English course OR at least six months of experience applying these concepts, OR successfully completed a nine-month to one year office administration course beyond high school). Experience using alphabetical, numerical, or subject filing systems to include determining file names, setting up new files, classifying, labeling, filing, and retrieving (This is typically obtained by completing an office occupations course which included hands-on experience in each of the areas listed, OR approximately six months of full time work experience using and maintaining filing systems). Experience reviewing documents for compliance with established procedures (This is typically obtained by work where you were responsible for ensuring forms were properly completed OR successful completion of a nine-month to one year office administration course beyond high school.) Experience using a computer to enter and retrieve information (This is typically gained by the equivalent of six months of full-time experience using a computer to enter and retrieve information.) Experience answering a business telephone using knowledge of business telephone procedures and etiquette (This is typically gained by the equivalent of six months of full-time experience answering a business telephone using proper telephone procedures and etiquette.)
