Description: In April and May, Common Loon and a variety of duck species can be found. Common summer birds include Western Grebe, American White Pelican, and Forster’s Tern. Near the east end, look for Marbled Godwit and American Avocet. In winter, look for Trumpeter Swan, Barrow’s and Common Goldeneyes, and Common Merganser. Along the southern edge, look for the Osprey nest platform. Bald Eagle can also be seen regularly in the summer as there is a nest territory on the south side of the reservoir.
