Overview
Idaho Fish and Game is seeking comments on its Draft Idaho Bighorn Sheep Management Plan 2022-2027. This is an update to the 2010 Bighorn Sheep Management Plan. The plan will provide guidance for staff to implement management actions that will aid in the protection and management of bighorn sheep populations and guide harvest recommendations.
Review the draft plan below and submit comments by February 25, 2022.
The final draft of the plan will be presented for the Commission's approval at their March 2022 meeting.
Draft Idaho Bighorn Sheep Management Plan, 2022-2027
The plan identifies major issues that affect bighorn sheep management in Idaho and will function as the action plan to help guide overall direction for management during the next six years (2022–2027). This plan will guide the Department in annual work plan development and program prioritization, and provide guidance on development of regulatory recommendations.
