Discuss legislation, rules, and other matters of interest to the Idaho Fish and Game Commission, the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, and sportsmen. Agenda notices will be posted before each meeting.

SNR – Senate Resources and Environment Committee
HNR – House Resources and Conservation Committee

  1. Update about Fish and Game Rule dockets
    HCR 7, Fish and Game rule rejection.
    Passed the House; Hearing in SNR on 2/13.
  2. Update about Fish and Game Legislative Presentations (JFAC, other) and budget
    JFAC will set IDFG FY2020 budget on March 4.
  3. Bill Analysis for Discussion/Action for Policy Position
    House Bill 97, Clarify landowner recreational immunity. Awaiting hearing in HNR.
    House Bill 100, Revises administrative rules approval. Awaiting vote on House floor.
    Senate Bill 1039, Remove sunset dates for Wolf Depredation Control Board, livestock assessments, and IDFG license transfer. Passed Senate. Hearing in HNR 2/13.
    House Bill 80, Expand claims eligible for wildlife damage compensation. Awaiting vote on House Floor.
    Commission position: Monitor.
    House Bill 96, Revise Outfitter set-aside and allocated tags for deer and elk. Hearing expected in HNR 2/19.
    Senate Bill 1088, Requires Commission to issue 5 DAV free big game tags and revises tag designation provisions to select the most deserving disabled veteran. Awaiting hearing in SNR.
    Senate Bill 1089, Illegal to willfully post public land as private or to obstruct entry. Awaiting hearing in SNR.
