We asked our Fish and Game hatchery staff to boil down some of the most notable stocking highlights coming to your local fishery this December. Approximately 3,300 catchable-sized rainbow trout will be stocked throughout the state.

The time period for filling out Lake Pend Oreille Angler Science Program fishing logbooks ended on Nov. 26, so make sure to turn in your completed logbook by Dec. 10 for your chance to win some great prizes!
More steelhead are headed for the Boise River the day before Thanksgiving. Approximately 110 additional steelhead will be released into the Boise River on Wednesday, Nov. 27. The Fish and Game fish stocking trucks will be releasing fish at the usual locations.
