The application period for moose, bighorn sheep, and mountain goat controlled hunts opens April 1 and runs through April 30. Moose, sheep, and goat drawing results will be online in early June.

The Lake Pend Oreille “State of the Lake” informational video is now available online. Those planning to attend the open house are highly encouraged to watch the video beforehand and come to the open house with questions, comments or concerns.

Idaho Fish and Game warns motorists about elk on I-15 near Chubbuck

Motorists should be aware of a herd of elk occupying open fields north of Chubbuck and Pocatello near New Day Parkway.  There have also been elk crossing I-15 to the west side.

Idaho Fish and Game relocates female moose and calf from community in Bingham County

Considering this female moose with her calf persisted for several days in a residential area and because of concern for public and wildlife safety, the decision was made to relocate the animals.

Public comment period for 2025-2027 peregrine falcon take season setting is now open

Idaho Fish and Game is collecting public input on the proposed 2025-27 seasons for the take of peregrine falcons from the wild for falconry purposes. Falconers and other interested parties have until March 25 to provide input.
