Reward Offered For Information About Dead Grizzly Bear

IDAHO FALLS – The Idaho Department of Fish & Game is working with the United States Fish & Wildlife Service to locate the individual or individuals responsible for the death of a grizzly bear on or about October 21, 2016, near the Coyote Meadows Road on the  Caribou-Targhee National Forest in Fremont County, Idaho.

A reward of $1,000 is being offered through the Idaho Citizens Against Poaching (CAP) hotline and an additional $5,000 is being offered by the United States Fish & Wildlife Service for information sufficient for a citation or warrant to be issued.  The grizzly bear is still listed as a Threatened Species in Idaho and is still federally protected under the Endangered Species Act.
