Swan Orientation Course

Primary tabs

Beginning fall 2020, Idaho Fish and Game will hold a swan hunt in Benewah, Bonner, Boundary, and Kootenai counties of northern Idaho. This experimental hunt will provide a hunting opportunity for swans for at least three years. After that period, the hunt could become operational upon approval by the Pacific Flyway Council and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Idaho Fish and Game encourages each swan hunter to complete this orientation course to improve their understanding of swan hunting issues, help identify the differences between tundra and trumpeter swans, and know what is necessary to comply with all swan hunting rules and regulations.
