Dredging starts December 19, 2016 to deepen the ponds at Wilson Springs. A local contractor will use a suction dredge to remove material from the ponds and pump the slurry to drying pits currently being built on an upland site. The project should take about 75 days from start to end.
The result will be more places to fish and deeper water to hold bigger fish. Hopefully, this effort will last another 25 - 30 years before it needs to be repeated.
